Overview

The Siglent SPS6150X is a premium-grade, highly efficient programmable switching DC power supply engineered to deliver single-channel, wide-range constant power up to 1500 W (1.5 kW). Housed in an ultra-compact 1U (44 mm) rack-mountable chassis, this power supply provides a rated output of up to 100 V and 50 A within its 1500 W limit.

Unlike traditional DC power supplies with a rigid rectangular output profile, the SPS6150X utilizes a wide-range constant power architecture. This allows it to automatically swap voltage and current ratios, delivering higher voltage at lower currents and higher current at lower voltages to maximize instrument utility. Flexible Constant Power Output

Constant Voltage (CV) & Constant Current (CC) Priority Modes

Better protect sensitive components from current spikes and voltage overshoot. CC Priority mode starts the output path in constant current first—minimizing inrush spikes—which is critical for diode and LED testing. CV Priority mode ensures rapid voltage stabilization for high-speed automated testing.

Adjustable Output Voltage & Current Slew Rates

Configure customized rising and falling slopes (slew rates) for both voltage and current. This feature prevents high inrush currents from damaging capacitive DUTs during power-up or power-down transitions.

Flexible Capacity Expansion (Up to 7.5 kW)

Scale your testing capabilities as your projects grow. Connect up to five SPS6150X in parallel to extend total system output power up to an impressive 7500 W (7.5 kW) with high power density and absolute synchronization.

Intuitive List Sequence Programming

Easily create multi-step waveforms directly on the front panel or import pre-configured sequence files via USB. The List function supports up to 50 sequence steps with precise delay times down to 1 ms, enabling complex testing scenarios such as automotive power-bus simulations.

Safe Operations with Internal Discharge

Designed with a built-in parallel output discharge circuit. When the power supply is turned off or the load is disconnected, the system rapidly drains the charge stored inside the output filter capacitor, eliminating dangerous residual voltages at the terminal blocks.

Embedded Web Server & Rich Interfaces

Operate the instrument remotely without installing complex PC software. The built-in web server allows users to fully control, configure, and monitor the power supply over LAN from any standard web browser. The unit comes standard with USB Device, USB Host, LAN, and analog control ports, with an optional USB-GPIB module.
